Silver diadems Silver 12,6 cm and 20 cm Ballana, Nubia
Among the most impressive objects in the Museum from this period, there are silver diadems. They were found on the skulls of kings buried in Ballana.
Their decoration is a mixture of pharaonic religious symbols and Byzantine art.
The first dates from the 4th - 5th century, and the second from the 3rd - 6th century AD.
